This is one of the best Houston Collaborations I’ve heard in a while. This one is called “Money On My Mind,” Candi Redd featuring pop sensation Kat St. John, produced by Houston native: TA. I can hear this song not just being played in the urban market. This song has a uptempo Hip Hop/ Pop feel and is very unexpected from a usual Candi Redd record which makes the REDD ALERT project a little more diverse and versatile than CODE REDD. This is a pretty big record, not to mention that we can all relate to having money on our minds. Song writer and recording artist, Kat St. John is from California and now resides in Houston, TX. She has written big records for Just Brittany and recorded big records with the world renown, Pit Bull. It was great to see the two (Candi & Kat) come together on a collaboration like this one. Just when you thought she was gone, she’s back like they fucked up her order with the brand new hit single and club anthem “Act A Azz!” This one is for both the ladies and the fellas which will be on her new project, “REDD ALERT” scheduled to hit stores 12 / 7. Most of you know Candi Redd from the hit single, “INDEPENDENT BITCHES,” that shut the clubs down in 2009-2010. When dropped at any club the classic record still has the ladies running to the dance floor. Many believe that the Houston native only has club music to offer yet both of the latest projects seem to show much versatility. As we all know from listening to the hit sigle, Independent Bitches again and again, Candi Redd does not really favor the guys who wear jeans that she can fit, calls themselves pretty or do female dance moves in the club.
